POINT OF NO RETURN

Create, Pitch, Sell

E-Publishing

My interest in eBooks is growing. I might submit my short story, BONNIE PARKER SMILE, to Amazon Shorts if I can't find a home for it somewhere else.

I put together a comprehensive marketing plan and mapped out a sensible book signing tour so I'll be ready to go when my novel gets published, but hawking a short is different.

I haven't decided how to promote the story other than using this blog, and handing out custom printed bookmarks and/or business cards containing a brief synopsis and links.

There are a few other things I haven't figured out, so stay tuned.

Winter Blahs

What is it about shoveling snow off the driveway that makes one think of Florida and sunny beaches, hmmm?

I'm tired of winter.

Thank goodness Spring is right around the corner.

First Draft Complete

A rough draft of book two in the trilogy is complete, along with the title and a synopsis for the last book.

Excerpt:

Flames reached the height of the surrounding trees and glowed magnificently against the night sky. A thick layer of fog shrouded the mountain and mingled with a great wave of black smoke as it rapidly devoured the lower half of a full moon. Frightened deer were driven deeper into the wood to find relief from the intense heat.

He breathed deep. Smiled over the sights and sounds being recorded on his camera. Watching the house burn to the ground was exciting. Hearing the terrified screams of the family trapped inside aroused him.

Welcome To My New Blog

Hi! I'm Sharon Austin.

Besides writing novels and short stories, I'm also learning how to write a screenplay. Currently, I have two shorts and one novel on submission. My 83,000-word novel is the first in a trilogy but can stand alone, as well.
